Discover Nepal on two wheels

Jack, and his Tears for Tigers Travel team, aim to provide motorcycle riders with the opportunity to explore Nepal in the best way possible – on a vintage motorcycle!

The vintage motorbikes are based in Pokhara, Nepal, at the foothills of the Himalayas and the backyard to the Annapurnas. There is nobody else who can boast such an intimate knowledge of the terrain, people, and culture, which Jack and his team can share with you. The people who run the teahouses, hotels, small restaurants and workshops are our friends. This gives the riders an instant connection with the places you visit and characters we meet along the way. Tour companies which are based abroad and fly in and out perhaps once or twice a year unfortunately miss out on this beautiful aspect of being in Nepal.

Village of Jhong (Dzong) is the former capital of the region. This picturesque traditional village is dominated by 14th-century Rabgyel Tse fort, which names the village (jhong or dzong means fortress) and the 16-th century Chode Shedrup Choephel Ling Monastery.

Our favourite motorcycle trip is into Upper Mustang, a ride of lifetime into one of the most unexplored regions of the Himalayas. Upper Mustang provides experienced riders with an adventure that very few have dared to undertake.

This ride is not for the faint hearted. It will push your riding skills, the bike, and endurance to the limit. The rewards are plentiful however as you get the chance to experience the last remaining Tibetan kingdom in all it’s glory. The majority of the tour rides close to 4000m (4600m max) on terrain which regularly encounters snowfall, landslides and glacial melt. So get ready to take deep breathes!

Jack and his team were the first tour company to explore the region launching the pilot tour to Lo Manthang in April 2015. It is beyond doubt the most thrilling and unique Himalayan journey on two wheels!
