Founded by fashion and jewellery designer Clara Poulantza, Contessina London is a design- led brand, based between London and Athens.
“Contessina” London, a sister brand of “Contessina” Athens, originally established as a fashion house in Athens in 1958 by Clara’s grandmother, wrote its very own chapter in Greek fashion history in the 1970’s when Christian Dior entrusted the fashion house with undertaking the manufacture of it’s Pret a Porter collections in their Atelier in Athens, as well as the first opening of a Dior boutique outside of Paris.

Light and durable, the easy-to-wear My Precious Lace collection is beautifully contemporary honouring fine artisan lace-making techniques much appreciated in Europe since the 1400’s especially between the aristocrats and the Royals.
Clara’s experience in knitwear design and her love for the elaborate, fine and delicate quality of lace made her create this stylish, sophisticated and feminine jewellery line.

True to it’s origins while adding precious stones, each piece is handcrafted in the finest silk, silver, gold and bronze metallic threads, natural gems and freshwater pearls, creating a collection that is understated, elegant and unique.
