Beautiful silverware is easy to find if you can spare that kind of budget to buy it. One of my challenge has been to find elegant everyday knives and forks without breaking the bank…I finally found them and, guess what, they are made in France by a business who has been mastering cutlery craftsmanship for generations now.
As craftsmen, they are passionate about using rare, noble and precious products. They are also passionate about design, and objects which have a history and a soul. A member of the Atelier d’Art de France, Federation of craft professionals, they have been designing and creating exceptional cutlery since 1876.
« Making cutlery has been in our DNA for many generations. We have turned this heritage into a passion, which we still share today as a family.”
My favourites in their collection are called Montana (with Rosewood, Boxwood and Olive wood handles) and Oregon (Olive and Rosewood handles). The upper part is forged and either 33 micron silver plated or 18/10 stainless steel.
I would opt for the upper part in stainless steel
It comes in a set of four pieces (main course knife and fork, big spoon and tea spoon) or 5 pieces set (main course knife and fork, dessert spoon and fork and coffee spoon) or you can buy by the unit. They are all dishwasher safe.
