Meet talented interior designer Jerome Faillant-Dumas

Career: After 15 years as Art Director for Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, Jérôme Faillant-Dumas founded Love Editions. Agency for which he designs furniture and works on Interior Design projects for private clients, stores and restaurants. In parallel, he works on the branding of major luxury brands and is specialized in designing packaging for them. Jérôme Faillant-Dumas is renowned for walking the tight rope between classicism and modernity.

Signature Style: From Jacques Helleu at Chanel he learnt the importance of coherence and being in charge of a brand’s image. His timelessly classic pieces have a taste of perfection, whilst remaining tantalisingly daring. Straw marquetry and alabaster alongside plaster and plexiglass. A strong, gentle and thoroughly Parisian modernity.

He loves: The clean lines of the 1930’s and 1940’s such as the work of Jean-Michel Franck. Simple unpretentious lines, beautifully laid out spaces, furniture that is resolutely contemporary and affirmably timeless.

Showstoppers:

Pastille Touge Table: This smooth, translucent and round confetti-like table lays directly on the floor. Reimagining the concept of the coffee table. Graphic, luminous and refreshing, it fills the space like a beautiful work of art.

Pastille Rouge Table

Etoile Table : Inspired from the 1940’s, this side table with its patinated brass feet, linked together by a golden star at its centre, would most certainly have delighted Jean Cocteau. This shiny glass side table with golden pigments is a true piece of jewellery.

Elephant Armchair and Table Etoile

Elephant Armchair : The traditional wing chair reinterpreted in a contemporary and timeless version. Playing on its oversize effect and the extreme comfort of velvet, this armchair is a cute nest, both elegant and playful.

What’s up: The metamorphosis of the RTL studios, the rejuvenation of the Grand Véfour under the direction of the starred chef Guy Martin, and the spectacular re-invention of a house in London.
