Year 11

Review US university application process with A-List advisor
Begin building an extacurricular CV
Address opportunities for growth in maths, reading and writing prior to SAT/ACT prep; make intentional curriculum selections for Upper Sixth
Spring/Summer: Take practice SAT/ACT to gauge baseline for prep
Summer: Explore universities through visits and summer programmes

Year 12

September: Start regular tutoring programme for the SAT/ACT
October: Begin work with advisor to build a university lis; visit universities
December: Potentially take the SAT/ACT for the first time
March: Target SAT date for most students
April: Target ACT date for most students
May/June: Potential SAT/ACT retakes and/or SAT Subject Tests
Summer: Complete personal statement & supplemental essays; explore US university campuses; take intensive SAT/ACT course if needed

Year 13

August/September: Finalise university list; begin intensive tutoring for SAT Subject Tests; request recommendation letters
October: Complete Early Decision applications
November: Complete University of California application
December: Common Application due for January Regular Decision deadlines; Early Application results
